The compact Ultra Precise Rotational Stage (UPRS-2D1F-001) is a positioning device
for ultra-precise rotational orientation, along two orthogonal rotational axes, of photonics or
other components. Its frictionless design allows for ultra-precise positioning without
hysteresis and backlash.
The heart of the UPRS-2D1F-001 is our patented fine rotation Flex Plate. The range of
rotation of the UPRS-2D1F-001 Flex Plate is 480 μrad (1500 stepper motor steps) with a
resolution of 0.3 μrad/step. The Flex Plate can be customized with ranges and/or
resolutions to fit customer needs.
Two coarse positioning motors provide a range of 0.2 radians with a resolution of 33
μrad/step (6,000 stepper motor steps). The course positioning can be customized with
ranges and/or resolutions to fit customer needs.
