About Us

Nesch, LLC is an Indiana company that has developed a revolutionary in-laboratory x-ray imaging technique, diffraction enhanced imaging (DEI). Unlike normal x-ray images which only show dense materials, such as bone and teeth, DEI shows soft materials, like muscle, ligaments and tendons, as well as dense materials. In addition, the images show higher resolution than conventional radiography and radiation exposure is less by a factor of at least 10x.

The company was formed in 2003 and commenced significant operations in 2005. To date the company has been supported through grants from the NIH and the Indiana 21st Century Research and Technology Fund. In-house core expertise consists of diffraction optics design and fabrication, custom component design and testing, instrumentation automation, and image processing.
